On August 17 "Rīgas mikroautobusu satiksme" took over minibus routes No. 237, 238, 241 and 270

On August 17 "Rīgas mikroautobusu satiksme" took over the minibus routes operated by SIA „VAS SV”, which means that from this date minibus routes No. 237, 238, 241 and 270 will be operated by a new carrier.

"Rīgas satiksme" informs that according to the contract the timetables of the above routes will remain unchanged. It should be noted that the price of tickets on all the above routes will be LVL 0.50 (on routes No. 241 and 270 it was LVL 0.70). Furthermore, e-tickets will be valid on all minibus routes, which will ensure precise accounting of passengers

At the same time, it should be emphasised that none of the discounts granted by Riga City Council will be effective in minibuses, and pupils, students, pensioners and disabled persons of group 3 will have to buy tickets at full price. The only exception is those passengers entitled to the discounts granted by the state. i.e. disabled persons of groups 1 and 2, disabled persons under the age of 18 years, as well as persons accompanying disabled persons of group 1 or disabled persons under the age of 18 years.

It’s planned that the remaining minibus routes will be gradually taken over in 2013.
